Most of the time we don’t like to feel like we’re being watched.  It’s uncomfortable and intrusive even if we aren’t doing anything wrong.  It’s almost like someone is hovering over your shoulder, listening to every word you make, just waiting for you to make a mistake.  But what happens when you’re being watched by the moon?  Every Wednesday evening I have to take a short walk home in the dark and, if I’m lucky, the moon will be there to guide me home.  It keeps me from stumbling, like it’s holding my hand as I teeter.  I miss it when the clouds keep it away.  I miss it during the day when the sun chases it back.  Then, when I see it again, especially when it’s eyes are fully open, I look up and love knowing that I’m being watched.
