Make Your Way

Have you ever wondered what it must be like to wander?  Without worry about where you’re going or whether or not you are lost?  Without worry about getting back to your responsibilities or checking in with someone.  I rarely do because I like to feel grounded and safe, but sometimes I long for it.  I wonder what it must be like to get off the trail and forge a new path.  To make your own way.  I painted this scene without a lot of preplanned ideas in mind.  I let my brush wander.  I set no timeline in when it would get finished.  The result was what looks like an untouched land.  Maybe so untouched that no one else has ever even laid their eyes on it before.  As my brush made it’s way through this scene, I wonder who’s home it will make it’s way to?
