This is not the first time I have painted Snoqualmie Falls and it probably won’t be the last.  Two years ago I painted what would be the first painting of many.  In fact all the paintings you see on my website are a result of that first painting.  It sparked new life into me, and gave me a passion to pursue to help me get over a loss I was feeling in my life.  This time, I was needing a new perspective again.  Facing a change in my life I decided to paint the falls again, but from a new vantage point.  Symbolic?  Perhaps.  Therapeutic?  A little.  I felt like I was revisiting an old friend, catching up on what they’d been up to the past two years and telling them the change I was about to make.  When this piece was done it was like we’d just had a good chat.  The falls had encouraged me to once again go for it.  With an undeniable power and yet calming breath I felt ready.  And on I went.
