Where are you from?  Where do you live?  Where is home for you?  That last question is different from the first two.  We often stay somewhere because of work, family ties, or practicality. But without that, where would home be for you?  With so many places in the world and personalities among people I imagine it’s different for everyone.  Let me know where you think home is for you, and why.

This painting is home for one couple.  San Juan Island, Washington.  This painting was a gift from a couples grown children, for their 33^rd anniversary.  A gift that celebrates the waves of time and where both have taken them. Time well spent and dreams realized. The husband is a 5^th generation islander and his wife says she’ll never leave.   I love that this painting celebrates the passing of time, the love that has kept them afloat, and the waves that brought them back to this island.  Such a perfect representation of a life together in a place that is home.
